Happy International Women’s Day 2022!
Today we are celebrating women in all shapes and forms, young and old. Of course, every young person has the right to a life that offers opportunities to fulfil their potential, regardless of gender and background. However, we believe it is important to raise awareness of the need for gender equality. We need to stand together and stand up for a more equal world that benefits everyone in society.
This year, International Women’s Day is about ‘Breaking the Bias’, it is about imagining a gender equal world. “A world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women’s equality. Collectively we can #BreakTheBias.”
We love celebrating women’s achievements and increasing their visibility, while at the same time, calling out inequality. This is how we roll!
We are so lucky to have the most amazing women in our team who show up every day to support our young people so they can flourish in the face of adversity. We are also lucky to support and have supported many amazing girls and young women in our care, many of whom, despite multiple challenges in life, have gone on to do great things.
