Bunnings have supported Burdekin on numerous occasions and in many different ways.
Take a look at this property renovation from way back in 2015 when they not only provided a team of volunteers, but donated a kitchen too. This project was also made possible by the very generous support of The Property Industry Foundation, which donated $90,000 to upgrade the roof.
As well as donating the $1,500 kitchen, Bunnings provided seven volunteers who worked at stores across the Northern Beaches, to install new flooring and a new kitchen at the property in Manly.
The house was made available by a private benefactor for a vastly reduced rent and has become a sanctuary to young people aged 12 to 18 years who are at risk of homelessness.

Fire safety products
Ensuring fire safety in our homes is a priority for Burdekin, and we are very grateful to Bunnings Warringah Mall, who donated fire safety products such as fire extinguishers, fire blankets, first aid kits and other fire safety accessories to reduce the risk of fire and keep our young people safe both in our Inner West and Northern Beaches properties.
We can’t thank these wonderful people enough for their commitment to helping Burdekin and the phenomenal work they have done, not to mention the gorgeous furniture and plants they also donated.
Bunnings and Taubman Paints
Recently the wonderful people at Bunnings and Taubmans Paints helped us with a very special project – The Burdekin Learning Space. We are thrilled to say that, at our Learning Space in Addi Road, Marrickville, we now have a classroom, a therapy room and sensory room for the young people we work with.
Our young people benefit a great deal from this space, where Specialist Education workers provide trauma informed education. None of this would have been possible without the kindness and generosity of our community!
