Welcome to our 7th Annual Charity Golf Day

Each year we need to raise money to support our services, to go the extra mile, to fund the comprehensive framework that enables us to offer therapeutic wraparound services to prevent child and youth homelessness in addition to covering their basic needs. The Annual Charity Golf Day has developed into a fixture on our calendar and is much more than just a fundraiser. We look forward to the day all year and put the emphasis on you getting the most out of the day. You can participate just for fun or you can be competitive. The day gives all of us an opportunity to chat, share ideas and enjoy each others company.

Who benefits from our annual charity golf day?

There are young people in Sydney who have fewer opportunities than their peers. Terms like youth-at-risk, vulnerable youth or disadvantaged youth  are used but what does it mean and who are they? Young people from low income households, from minorities, from marginalised groups, from broken families face many challenges including poor educational opportunities, disengagement, mental health issues, family dysfunction, exaggerated risk-taking, exposure to violence, crime, discrimination and exclusion to name some.

The young people who come to us, face a variety of challenges. We believe that when parents or a family can’t or won’t take care of their children and young people then the community must step in and provide the support they need to turn into independent adults.

About the day

Our Annual Charity Golf Day is our principal annual fundraiser to prevent youth homelessness. The event is sponsored and attended by many people who either represent their organisation (for a full list of past participants see below) or attending in a personal capacity. It helps us to raise significant funds and awareness of youth homelessness.

The event celebrates our achievements and our connections to the community, it honours our lovely young people who have gone on to great things.

Among their professional achievements are real estate agents, a political journalist, a prominent athlete, a chef working with a very well known celebrity chef, high school teachers, accountants and many more. We couldn't be prouder.

A great day out for all involved

People of all ages and skill level are welcome to attend - businesses, individuals, staff, managers – anyone who is up for a great day out for a good cause!

Some will be gearing up for the win – showing that competitive streak, some like to mingle, make new connections or rekindle old ones and some are there because they love a fun community day out.

All are there because they are passionate about helping us to end youth homelessness and care about this wonderful philanthropic community we have created over the years.

Our Annual Charity Golf Day is a great day to raise funds whilst having fun and meeting new people

We would like to thank all of our past and current supporters who give generously to us throughout the year – your donations are critical to the work we do for children and young people.
